We commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day in the village with a Residents' Tea Party on Monday 5th May 2025 and a Candlelit Vigil on Thursday 8th May. During the vigil, those servicemen killed during WW2 who are either buried or memorialised in St Mary's Churchyard were remembered and honoured with laurel wreaths laid in their memory.
