Revd Richard Young

Richard was appointed as the Priest in Charge of St Mary’s Church in June 2024, after 17 years as the Vicar of the nearby parish of St Matthew’s Yiewsley.  

Richard is married to Louise, who works as a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant at a local primary school.  They have 4 grown up children and a very friendly and soppy Labradoodle called Samson.  The family are really enjoying village life in Harmondsworth and are taking full advantage of daily, long dog walks on the neighbouring Harmondsworth Moor!

Richard has two additional roles.  He is also Priest in Charge of the Parish of St Peter & St Paul Harlington.  To find out more about St Peter & St Paul’s go to www.stpeterandstpaul-harlington.org.uk 

Richard has also been appointed as ‘Mission Enabler for South Hillingdon’.  In this role, he is working with the 14 Church of England churches south of the A40, the Diocese of London and the national CofE on an ambitious plan to bring investment and renewal to these parishes so that they are much better equipped to serve their local communities over the next 10-20 years.
